Are you a performer, visual artist, arts critic, arts historian, musician, curator, other artist or arts professional, or arts engaged community leader?

The Bronx Council on the Arts (BCA) seeks artists, arts professionals, and nonprofit and community based organization leaders to serve as panelists for our 2023 grant cycle.

BCA hosts several grantmaking programs distributing more than $800,000 a year in funding to Bronx artists, collectives, and nonprofit organizations. Panelist from the community play a key role in the awards process; their knowledge and expertise is a crucial part of helping to shape the way public arts funds are distributed.

Panelists review applications, provide comments, and score applications in order to recommend recipients for funding.

Interested? The basic eligibility requirement to be a BCA panelist is that you are an artist, arts professional or nonprofit and community based organization leader.

If this is you and you would like to help make a difference in the Bronx, please apply to serve on one of our grants panels.

Potential panelists from all boroughs are welcome to apply. Note that panelists for BCA's Community Engagement Grants must be Bronx residents. Those serving on the BRIO panels must reside outside of the Bronx and have expertise in specific artistic disciplines. BCA  supports panel diversity in all forms: age, race, gender, disabilities, sexual orientation, artistic discipline, location, etc.

Selected panelists will be contacted when needed.
